Part of Alicia's requirement for homeschool was that she completed some Vermont based learning. I thought it would be fun to visit some Vermont historical sites. One of the ones that's not too far from us is the Eureka Schoolhouse. If I remember right it was the first schoolhouse in Vermont. Alicia was pretty excited because we had also been reading the Laura Ingalls Wilder books and she loved the idea of old-fashioned one room schoolhouses. Turns out that we messed up on the times and couldn't find out when they were open but we got to look through the windows and see what it looked like. There's also an old covered bridge that had been moved to the location for preservation that Ryan loved. Sometime when it opens up again next spring we're going to try again so they can actually go inside.
