As Seen and Heard: Again Alicia

Sitting around the dinner having hams and yams Alicia scrapes the remaining remnants off her plate and on to Ryan's (who avoided dinner in hopes of figuring out the television so he could continue watching his beloved Dora).

Alicia: (as she's now licking her plate) yum sugar!
Mommy: but you don't need more sugar... you know what everyone says, "Girl's are nice made of sugar and spice" I can't remember what boys were supposed to be made of
Alicia: (quite self assured to the point of it having been a boring question that of course I should have known) Boys are made of spoons....

Well there you have it boys are made of spoons... umm... do I get to pass that one along to her husband?

Joy

Ahh... the goodness of a dose of pure vitamin D rays - that's "D" as in delightfully divine day!!!

Yes, today is delightful and divine and full of unhealthy amounts of joy because of

this...

Why? because this...means that soon there will be no more this...

or this...

but to best capture this essence of the day I'll just leave you with this...

and now I'm heading back outside....

Deb's Day

So today was yet another version of another year older and wiser? Okay, at least the older part... Overall it was a pretty slow, easy and relaxing day. Got to start off with seeing Alicia get another best works award at her school. (Ryan absolutely did NOT want to leave her there.)

Then I basically spent the day being lazy around the house and catching up on things that I just haven't taken time for lately.

On a side note, I had to laugh - as I was making dinner - ooh the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli goodness (yay leftovers!) - Ryan went to work as well.
He ended up with about 11 all lined up and organized (at least in his mind - Campbell's went with Campbell's - Hunt's with Hunt's) Then sissy came in and started trying to help and he kind of gave up.

A Little Snow Fun in February

Here are just a few of the pics from the kids in the last big blast of a storm that in it's confusion and misguidance landed us with a ton of snow then alternately tried to turn into rain and then back to snow again and then some rain and oh yeah - let's add in one day of just gray just for something different. At least I can say that for 5 or 6 days I didn't feel like the most confused thing in the world for once!

Somebody help me?

enough of the pictures!

boots on our feet and hands makes us snowpuppies! (nevermind the coat I should be wearing)
